Florentino Orti is responsible for the Criminal area of Rodríguez Arribas Abogados PLLC. Florentino is member, by public law examinations, of the Prosecutors Career since 1986.
Destined to the Office of the Prosecutor of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Provincial Court (Canary Islands), attached to the Courts of the capital and then to the Orotava’s. In 1990, he was destined to the Office of the Prosecutor of the National High Court, attached to the Central Court of Instruction number 3 (Economic Crimes).
During his stay in the Illustrious National High Court, he intervened in matters of great complexity, given the competencies of that Court.
Among others, he took charge of investigating the case of Banco Santander, VAT frauds, KIO issue, Banesto subject, PSV case, etc., as well as procedures relating to exchange control crimes.
During 1993 and 1994 he represented the Kingdom of Spain in light of the Court of Justice of the European Communities (Luxembourg) in the Aldo Bordessa case and others, preliminary ruling concerning foreign exchange control raised by the Central Criminal Court of the National High Court.
Florentino Orti has been partner in charge of the Criminal Procedural Law Department of Garrigues from the moment he join the firm in 1996-2015, where he has been dedicated to issues, primarily, economic crimes, crimes against the rights of workers, environmental crime, privacy right, etc., relating mainly to business law.
It is included in several directories, including Chambers & Partners, Best Lawyers and European Legal Experts, in the criminal procedural practice as one of the criminal lawyer referral. It belongs to ICAM and he holds the Cross of Honor of San Raimundo de Peñafort, granted by the Ministry of Justice to legal merit, since 1995.
